1. What is the personal data that we collect?

 

We collect only the personal data that you provide to us, or that is required to provide a service to you.

The legal basis we use for processing this data is consent and/or other applicable legal bases, such as our legitimate interest in engaging in commerce, and offering products and services of value to you. Your consent previously provided may be withdrawn whenever you choose, please refer to section 5 below.

You may wish to provide us with your data in order that we can pass on information about our products and UNIGLOBE Travel agency members.  Should you choose not to provide personal data, we will not be able to provide you with more information about UNIGLOBE Travel, our members, products and services.

 

2. UNIGLOBE Travel Security Measures

 

We take your security very seriously, and have put in place the measures required to follow all new EU data protection regulations. These include measures designed to preserve data integrity, prevent data loss, and to regulate access to it internally.

 

Only authorized UNIGLOBE  Travel employees, and authorized employees of our contracted service providers processing data on our behalf have access to your personal data. Contracts in place with third-party service providers, acting as data processors for UNIGLOBE Travel, have been amended to ensure that they are in line with the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (the “GDPR”).

 

3. How UNIGLOBE Travel will use your personal data

 

The data that you provide will only be used for the purposes for which you provided it, which will have been indicated to you at the time that you provided it. It may also be used to administer, support and obtain feedback on the services that we provide, and for direct marketing purposes.

UNIGLOBE Travel will not share your personal data with any party unless required to do so by law.

In such circumstances we are bound by a contract that ensures your data is managed in accordance with EU Data Protection laws (GDPR), and that we act to implement any technical measures necessary to keep personal data secure.

 

7. How UNIGLOBE Travel uses ‘Cookies’

 

UNIGLOBE Travel uses Google Analytics to analyse the use of our website. Google Analytics gathers information about website use by means of cookies. The information gathered relating to our website is only used to create reports about the use of our website, the information which is collected is never passed on to 3rd parties. UNIGLOBE Travel does not use any other cookies (ours or 3rd parties) across our website.

 

8. Changes to the terms of this Privacy Policy

 

UNIGLOBE Travel may occasionally make changes to this Privacy Policy. If we believe that the changes are material, then we will let you know by doing one or more of the following: (1) posting the changes on this site, or (2) sending you an email or message about the changes.

 

We would also give you the opportunity to consent to any material changes. Changes will be effective upon the posting and your acceptance of the changes, which may be via your continued use of the site after the changes have taken effect.
